As we begin the spring/summer season, we start thinking about light-bodied, easy-drinking wines that pair well with fresh seafood, grilled chicken, creamy soft cheeses or spicy barbecue meats. One of the best regions for wines that not only pair well with these types of cuisine, but also can be enjoyed all by themselves, is the Loire Valley, just north of Bordeaux.
Although the region is mostly known for it's exquisite white wines made from Sauvignon Blanc & Chenin Blanc, there's also incredible red wines made from Gamay, Pinot Noir & Cabernet Franc.
We've put together a great line-up of wines that are a great representation of the wonderful wines from Loire Valley, and we're very happy to have Ralph Javar, from the Winebow Group, as our guest speaker, who will guide us through these amazing wines.
We will also have an assortment of artisan cheeses, specially selected for the wines we'll be serving. The cheeses are also available to purchase from our Fromage Cave.
